Riding the Gnar

Source inspiration: Romans 5:1-5 [KJV]
1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Saints and soul riders,
Ride!
Be sanctified;
Set youselves apart.
Uphill stride; downhill glide.
Good times; good news.
Open space theocracy.
Public and free,
Jubilee, jubilee.
Eternal;
Beyond a lifetime guarantee.

All are invited;
Regardless of pedigree.
Nominees;
Anointed; appointed.
Some will accept; elected;
None shall be rejected.
Caught up, in the air;
Into His Kingdom.

Tune your bike;
Trial and error;
Beware, too fast rebound;
Ejected; into the air
Spellbound;
Inner soul; faith,
Suddenly awakened;
Out of hibernation.
Trials and tribulation;
The human condition.
Even Christ Jesus
Did have trials and tribulation.

Rejoice.
Santa Anas;
San Gabriels.
Silverado, San Juan, Merrill trails,
Calling out in silent glee:
Tread on me! Tread on me!
I am here for mtb!
Saints and angels,
Come ride and see.
Along the way,
Greetings
Fellow hikers; bikers,
God’s creation,
In His nation.
Listen,
This is vital:
Only our Father,
Holds deed and title.

Day in; day out
Pedal and pace.
Ride in His grace.
Seek the singletrack gnar;
Rising rockstar.
Christ Jesus Superstar.
Nature’s beauty; debris;
Rocks, drops, ruts, and roots,
Off camber, tight switchbacks
No room for error; minimal slack.
Exposure, vertical 90 degrees.
Below a craggy unknown potpourri.
Scary, scary.

Saints and Angels,
We are co-stars;
To universal sin nature;
Adam and Eve’s ultimate scar.

Good news.
Gospel Truth.
Abundant faith tincture is
The main feature.
Mystery of mysteries.
Beyond Greek and Hebrew.
A sneak preview;
Not on demand or
Pay per view.

Adam and Eve
Had freedom
And personality.
Our Father gave one decree:
Do not touch
Purple Poodle-dog bush;
Blooming in burnt boundaries.
So it came to be;
Adam and Eve
Strayed from His first ministry.

Saints and angels,
Seek out the gnar,
Biggest line down
For your personality.
From the start,
Set yourself apart.

Come ride and see;
Singletrack gnar.
Humble pie
Fill it with His pride;
Gospel news,
A lifetime warranty;
100% money back guarantee.
Gospel truth.
Be taught and edified;
A living glory;
No made-up story.
Ride the gnar;
Be His star;
Set apart; sanctified.

Old man Moses
Did ride the gnar.
Full rigid, fixed gear
Singlespeed
Down Mt. Sinai;
No one will deny.
So scary,
His hair turned gray.
But he kept his line;
Did not go astray.

Young man
Christ Jesus,
Did ride the gnar.
A new generation,
Full suspension, multigear,
Doubled crowned.
All the way to Calvary.
Along the way,
Other riders did see;
Even Pharisees and Sadducees
were inspired.
Such a gnarly ministry.
Gospel truth.
Even on Broadway,
Christ Jesus Superstar.

Christ Jesus and disciples
In the early ministry,
Loved the outdoors;
Walking, hiking, backpacking,
Horseback and donkey riding,
Boating, camping, fishing, hunting,
Rockclimbing and even water walking!

Over the hills and sea of Galilee;
Feet blistering, chaffing,
Face sunburning, skin bug biting;
Often times hungering and thristing.
Teaching, edifying, healing,
Set apart; sanctified.

Saints and soul riders;
Rejoice,
Today, they would be mountain biking!

Saints and Angels,
Ride the gnar.
The anointed chain edifies
And sanctifies.
Daily prayer;
Daily ride.
Elect our Father,
Open space mayor.
Let the Holy Spirit dwell in you;
In every muscle and sinew;
Let it move you.
Personal statement;
Permanent resident.

Open space, soul tattoo
Cellular glue.
Haiku.

Saints; Soul Riders,
Yes, it’s true.
Rejoice
We have a choice;
Gather around;
Stir up the ground;
Be like salt; essential;
Enhance, preserve,
And satisfy.
Edify.
Ride the singletrack gnar;
Not always easy;
But public and free
Regardless of your pedigree.

This is the story
Christ Jesus in us,
The hope of glory.

Muscles, sinews, joints
Made to move
With regularity.
Day in; day out,
Revelation ministry
Leave your legacy.
Day by day
Cellular growth;
Spiritual elevation gain;
Singletrack flow.

Modern technology;
Frame geometry;
Gospel theology;
No mystery.
Check the facts,
Documented in
Many chapters
Like Acts.

Ride the gnar;
Bring your armor.
Off the ride,
Be soul armored.
When ungloved,
Hands and feet
So pale;
Arms and legs,
Dark; sun toasted.

His hands and feet,
Impaled and posted;
It was done;
His life fulfilled;
Holy ghosted.

Saints and Angels,
We are blessed.
Ride in open space sanctuary;
Stir it up; edify; rumble;
Murmur not nor grumble or mumble.
Perhaps in open space,
All is heard and echoed.

Be blessed and be kept.

The Anointed Chain: A Devotional (revived)

Resurrect that mountain bike hanging in your garage.
Let it ascend, descend, transcend.
A revival of a previous post.

Father God in Heaven,
Thank you for Your bountiful love and ever-present grace.
Thank you for Your precious gifts of faith, hope and love.
Thank you for the glory and joy that is creation, salvation and preservation.

Father God,
We are ridiculously blessed.
Thank you for blessing us with Your will and grace.
Thank you for giving us Your beloved Chi-Rho,
His thorny crown transforms,
I pray we ride completely whole.
Protect us from prickles, thistles, and thorns.
Guide us through mountainous loops;
Towards spiritual fruits.
Steer us away from ruts,
Especially those filled with religious nuts.

Father God in Heaven,
Thank you for giving us choice: Blessed freedom.
I pray we ride in Your Kingdom.
Although we are mere, we are your rank and file.
Singletrack and single file; mile for mile.
In sunlight and twilight.

Father God,
You are the Anointed King,
You are the Chain that Liberates.
You are the Liberating King;
Without You, we are motionless.

Father God in Heaven,
We ride in Your Country.
Our country comfort;
A secret place where we can close the door
And be revealed to You:
Steward of Stewards,
Lord of Lords,
King of Kings.
Let the ride baptize.

Although we may be outcasts,
We are not iconoclasts.
Although we are misfits, at least we are fit.

Day in and day out,
Chainrings spin
Joyous suffering,
Over rocks, drops, hills, and spills.
Suffering builds strength and endurance,
With endurance comes character,
With character comes hope.
And with hope, there is faith and love.
Day in and day out.

Father God,
Bless our daily ride.
Eyes wide open.
Rock gardens and babyheads
Canyons, peaks, and rocky spines,
Woodlands and creekbeds,
Poison oak and scented pines,
Native thistles and nettles,
Succulents with flower petals,
Oak, sycamore; so much more!
Big cats, tiny gnats,
Mule deer, mere bunnies,
Lizards, snakes, and tarantulas, oh my!
Black beetles doing head stands, always funny.

Treasured is the Main Divide,
A source of priceless rides.
Joyous Trabuco, a hoot of thunder;
King Joplin will break you asunder;
Holy James and Santiago, bless the water in our packs;
And San Juan, oh those switchbacks!
Don’t forget, our little companion,
St. Peter’s Canyon.
Remember, Big Red is no joke.
And epic Santa Anna, let Angelus Oaks unyoke.

Father God in Heaven,
You are the liberating King.
Renew our grip and strengthen our knees.
Reveal our eyes to hidden lines.
Let the oil lubricate and liberate.
If there is pride on the ride, remove it.
If there is rust or mud crust, remove it.
Let the ride be free of pride.
Let the ride be full of trust.
Let our anointment bring enjoyment.
Let there be peace, glory and joy in every moment;
Even when the ride is over,
Let this spillover
In all that we do.
Let every ride be our history.
Let clay, rock, and sand
Sanctify our humility.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit ,
I say “let’s ride!”
Amen Amen Amen

Ebb and Flow

Source inspiration: Matthew 14:29-31 [KJV]:
29And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Saints; Soul Riders!
Pedal and roll.
Let us not forget,
This is His open space.
In His Kingdom,
No one left behind.
Truth be told,
He knows our pace.

His peace,
Public and free;
Costs less than
Chain lube; grease.
Day in, day out,
Ride the good ride.
Take time; decide.
In this open space,
Ride; receive His grace.
See; believe.

Some ride unhurried;
Some with great flurry; fury;
Leaders out front;
Followers and sweepers.
Up hills, grunt and grunt
Downhill, steeper and steeper.
No matter;
He knows our true pace.

Up, down
Our feelings come and go;
Ebb and flow.
His love, a constant flow;
Does not ebb;
Relentless; overflows.
Ride the good ride.
Physical; spiritual fitness.
Be blessed; be kept.

No Doubt

Source inspiration:  Jn 20:29 [KJV]
29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Our Father God
So loved the world
He gave us the ability to Mtb.
Verily, that’s the Word;
Stir it up!
Let’s ride
Be heard:
Ring ring.
Mtb ministry.

Souls and Saints,
Ride gifted;
Eyes uplifted.
Fast forward shifted.

Ride open space;
His Kingdom.
Shift, pedal and pace,
Out and about,
He is with us,
Day in; day out.
Have no doubt.

Rock riding,
Trail surfing;
Gravel, rocks;
Ruts, drops;
Sandy chutes;
Marbles, babyheads;
Roots, thick branches;
Thistles and thorns;
Injury, a true possibility.
Much like Christ Jesus
In His ministry.
Faith: in God we trust.
Soul armor a must.

To all He can be revealed;
Just ask Apostle Thomas;
Who once did doubt;
He heard; then saw;
No more a hem or a haw.

Next ride,
Approach that drop,
No more hemming, hawing,
Roll it!
Jump it!
You decide.
He’s on your side.
Soul armored.

Riders and saints,
Give prayer;
Personal shout out.
Keep Him tattooed
in your heart;
He will see.
Permanent;
Unbreakable;
No need for a sparepart.

Truth,
Though He knows about us;
He desires to know us;
Though we know about Him;
Let us know Him;
Our invitation,
Opens the gate;
He awaits;
Let’s ride!
His nation.
Day in; day out.
Regeneration; renewed sensation.

Never too late,
He will not berate;
Or too soon
To ride in tune.
Soul riders and Saints,
Be blessed and kept.

In Tune

Source inspiration: Baby Bash – Suga Suga

Riders; Saints,
Good news.
Invitation; connection.
Glimpse; revelation.
Ooh wee, ooh wee!
We ride lifted;
Gifted;
In tune;
So blessed.
So fly;
Ridiculous; so precious;
Momentary weightless.
Shiny, steel stainless.

Understand,
Never too late;
Never too soon;
If out of tune;
Ride in tune;
With Father God;
Ride out and about;
Open space;
A secret place.
Inner space.
Invitation,
For His grace.
Ride lifted;
Gifted.
Shifted.
Pedal and pace,
In His space.

We ride Mtb:
Not all painless;
But eternal priceless;
Leaves us breathless,
Never dreamless.
Sometimes reckless;
Or restless;
Some ride tubeless;
Carbon weightless.
No matter; nevertheless;
Gospel truth,
For Lazarus,
Christ Jesus wept.

Gospel truth,
Public and free
For all to see;
Beyond pride and prejudice;
Kiss of Judas,
Touch of Midas.
Our will or His will;
Freedom to choose.
Get in tune;
Ride in tune.
Soul riders and Saints,
Be blessed and kept.
